Does benzac AC 5 gel remove dark spots?
The active ingredient in Benzac is benzoyl peroxide, in some cases this can cause slight lightening of your skin if applied to the same area for extended amounts of time. In terms of removing dark spots, that is not what Benzac is for and so we would not recommend using it for dark spot removal.
How do you use benzac AC 5?
Gently rub the cleanser into the skin for 10-20 seconds. Work into a full lather and rinse thoroughly and then pat dry. If too much drying occurs, you may need to rinse the cleanser off sooner or use it less often. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for further details.
Do you apply benzac before or after moisturizer?
The best way to apply to apply benzoyl peroxide is by cleansing the skin, then applying non-comedogenic moisturiser, wait for the cream to get absorbed and dry out on the skin. It hardly takes 5-10 minutes and lastly apply benzoyl peroxide cream/ointment. Make sure you are not too generous with this cream.
How do u apply Benzac?
Apply a small amount of the medication, gently rub into the area, and then shave. If you are using a cream, foam, lotion, or gel, apply it to the affected area as directed, usually once or twice a day. Before applying each dose, gently wash the affected area with a mild cleanser, then pat dry.
How long should I leave benzoyl peroxide on my face?
Keep the wash on your skin for no more than 1 to 2 minutes. Rinse your face thoroughly with water. Gently pat your skin dry.
Can I sleep with benzoyl peroxide on my face?
Let benzoyl peroxide creams and lotions dry completely before dressing, or lying on your pillow at night. And always wash your hands well after using any benzoyl peroxide treatment. If you have dark hair, you’ll also want to keep benzoyl peroxide away from your hairline.
Is Benzac good for pimples?
When using a treatment gel such as Benzac’s AC treatment gel, the benzoyl peroxide will work hard to penetrate into the pores and kill the bacteria hiding underneath and prevent new pimples from forming. It also helps to slough away the dead skin cells on top, helping to prevent clogged pores.
Can Benzac make acne worse?
During the first 3 weeks you are using benzoyl peroxide, your skin may become irritated. Also, your acne may seem to get worse before it gets better. If your skin problem has not improved within 4 to 6 weeks, check with your doctor.
Should I wash benzac gel?
Typically, Benzac AC5 Wash 100g is used to wash the affected areas once or twice a day by gently working up a lather on the skin for ten or twenty seconds. Then rinse off, pat dry, and apply further moisturising and sun protecting products following your doctor or skin specialist’s directions.
Can benzac burn your skin?
BENZAC AC contains propylene glycol which may cause skin irritation. It is normal in the first weeks to experience a feeling of skin tension or a burning, stinging or itching sensation and a small amount of peeling or reddening of the skin.
Can I use benzac wash on my face?
Simply use in the shower as the first step in your three-step acne routine, washing your chest and back (but you can also use it on your face): wet the area you want to cleanse, work into a lather, apply then leave for 30 seconds before washing off and patting dry.
Can I leave benzoyl peroxide gel overnight?
You can use benzoyl peroxide gel on particular spot or all over face. It can be left overnight ,however it causes mild irritation which is tolerable. This product has tendency of drying out your skin and making it to peel. So use the product for few weeks and discontinue.
Can I put moisturizer after benzoyl peroxide?
If you use a product containing benzoyl peroxide, it is best to wait until this product has been fully absorbed before applying a serum and/or moisturiser. Benzoyl peroxide works best when it has the chance to absorb into the skin first.
Can I use moisturizer after acne treatment?
Acne can cause your skin to feel oily and greasy, so a moisturizer may be the last thing you’d think of trying. A moisturizer, however, may be just what you need if you’re using one of the following acne treatments: Benzoyl peroxide. Salicylic acid.
Does Benzac help with blackheads?
While benzoyl peroxide can help treat oil and dead skill cells that clog your pores, this may not be the best treatment option available for blackheads and whiteheads. While benzoyl peroxide does help treat certain types of acne, topical retinoids are considered the first line of treatment.
Can benzoyl peroxide darken your skin?
Benzoyl peroxide does not usually darken your skin. Some brown or purplish spots may appear in the acne-affected areas, which are completely normal and part of the healing process. But in rare cases, benzoyl peroxide can cause hyperpigmentation and dark skin.
